• Relating to or consisting of money.
Usage: He admitted obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception.
7. Suffrage
• The right to vote in political elections.
Usage: Universal adult suffrage.
The right to vote is called active suffrage, as distinct from passive suffrage, which is the right to stand for election.
8. Ennoble
• Give someone a noble rank or title.
Usage: They receive life baronies on appointment unless they are already ennobled.
9. Protract
• Prolong or extend.
Usage: He had certainly taken his time, even protracting the process.
10. Anathema
• Something or someone that one vehemently dislikes.
Usage: Racial hatred is anathema to harmony.
