Explanation for Questions 1 to 5:

We know the total number of female readers (16) and that they constitute 40% of the total readers. This means the total number of readers are 40.

Therefore the number of Ahmedabad Mirror readers = 20 -15 = 5

i.e. = 1/3 x 24 = 8

Since a total of 24 males readers are there and 13 out of these belong to Sandesh and Ahmedabad Mirror, the balance have to belong to Gujarat Samachar = 24 – 8 – 5 = 11

Therefore, number of female readers of Sandesh=12

This means the remaining four female readers read Gujarat Samachar. Thus, we have the following table for the given information:

The required percentage is:5/40 x 100=12.5%
