Maninder, a miserly Punjabi in Bangalore, ordered a Dosa from a restaurant. He ate half the Dosa on that day and saved the rest of the Dosa for the next day. On the next day, he again ate half of the remaining and again he save rest of Dosa for the next day. He continued this process for five days. Can you tell the quantity of Dosa left after five days?

Maninder ate half the dosa on First day. On the second day, he ate half of the remaining remained dosa i.e. 1/4 of the original dosa. Similarly, he ate 1/8 of the original dosa on third day and so on for the five days. In effect, Maninder ate = 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/32 = 31/32 of Dosa i.e. 100 – 96.87=3.13% of original dosa was left.
