Common solution for the set: For such sort of arrangement sets where large no. of clues are given, make sure that you try to connect each keyword given so as to decipher the arrangement. For example, statements II,VIII and X connect the same Mt Abu keyword, hence we can easily decipher from these clues that there is a single student in Mt Abu hostel located in Ahmedabad(Statement-II) and whose name is Rahul and he is the student in charge of Computer Activity (Statement-VIII) and studies Electronic Engineering (Statement-X). From statement XIII, it is clear that there are two students staying at Pavagarh hostel among them one is from Bangalore and other student-in charge of Student body Activity. From statement IX, it is clear that remaining two students stay at the Ambaji hostel. Now look at I and IX statements, they both reveal that Ambaji has students from Pune and Patna. From IX, the student who is not from Patna and stays in Ambaji hostel studies Mechanical engineering. From VII, Sanju is not staying in Pavagarh hostel since Pavagarh has student-in-charge of Student body activity (last statement), hence only option with Sanju is Ambaji hostel. Now from V, Sanju is not studying Electrical engineering, hence he has to be in Mechanical in Ambaji. Since III says that Hemin stays in pavagarh hostel and since he does not belong to Bangalore, hence he must hail from Jaipur and should be student-in-charge of Student body activity in Pavagarh. From IV and VII, Sanju is not Sports secretary but sports secretary stays in Ambaji, hence the other guy from Patna should be Sports secretary. From V, this guy should be Electrical engineer. From I, since Aman does not stay in Ambaji, he must stay in Pavagarh and must be from Plastic engineering (only places left in the table). From this, only guy left Karan studies electrical engineering in Ambaji. From VI, the other guy from Ambaji is mess secretary and since one guy is sports sec,, hence Sanjay is the mess secretary. Remaining one Aman will be the Cultural Sec then.

In this way connecting clues in similar fashion, we can form the following table-:

Answers 1: (C) From the above table, it is clear that the student from Patna studies Electric Engineering. The correct option is (C).

Answers 2: (B) From the above table, the student belonging to Civil Engineering branch stays in Pavagarh Hostel, whereas Sports activity student stays in Ambaji Hostel. So, statement I. is incorrect. Also the student in charge of Student body activity is studying Civil Engineering. So, second statement is also incorrect. Also, the student who belongs to Pune is student in charge of Mess activity and Rahul belongs to Ahmedabad. Hence, option B is the correct answer. The correct option is (B).

Answers 3: (C) The general secretary of the Cultural belongs to Bangalore. The correct option is (C).

Answers 4: (D) The student from Jaipur is studying in Civil Engineering. The correct option is (D).
