• Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is all set to create the world’s longest sand Buddha in Sri Lanka.
• He will participate in the 14th International Vesak Day Celebrations organised by the Government of Sri Lanka.
• He is expected to create a 50-foot- long sand Buddha.

2. Russia blocks social media app WeChat
• Russia has blocked access to Chinese social media app WeChatfor failing to give its contact details to the Russian communications watchdog.
• Last year Russia blocked U.S. social networking site LinkedInfor violating a law that requires data on Russian citizens to be stored on Russian servers.

3. India ranks 3rd globally in startup incubators, accelerators.
• According to NASSCOM’s report India now has the third highest number of startup incubators and accelerators in the world after China and the US.
• With 140 incubators and accelerators, India has inched past Israel
• The number of incubators and accelerators in India grew a sharp 40% in 2016.
• Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR continue to be the hubs, with more than 40% of all incubators and accelerators concentrated in these areas.

1. Warren Buffett: I was wrong on Google and ‘too dumb’ to appreciate Amazon.
• Warren Buffett admits he should’ve invested in Google or Amazon instead of IBM at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting.
• Buffett admitted to shareholders that he made a mistake by not buying Google shares years ago.

2. Mumbai beat Delhi by biggest margin in IPL history
• Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils by 146 runs, the biggest margin of victory in terms of runs in the IPL history

3. Lasith Malinga becomes first bowler to take 150 wickets in IPL
• He reached this landmark during the match against Delhi Daredevils.
• Malinga has played for Mumbai Indian’s since the inception of IPL in 2008.
