National News

  • President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the ‘Vividdhta ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at the Presidential residence, celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Northeast India from February 8-11, 2024.
  • The festival, a collaboration between the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and the Ministry of Culture, featured over 320 booths showcasing unique crafts, textiles, and agricultural goods from the region’s eight states.
  • A special GI Pavilion displayed more than 25 items with Geographical Indication tags, highlighting the unique products and heritage of the region.

  • In Tamil Nadu, the Minister for MSMEs introduced a Smartcard scheme and a StartUp Challenge website, aiming to support startups with discounted services in HR, legal, IT, and marketing. The Launch Pad event presented over 20 startups specializing in AI and technology.
  • Uttar Pradesh targets producing one million tonnes per year of green hydrogen, offering around 120,000 job opportunities.
