1. Nabaneeta Dev Sen passed away

• Sahitya Akademi awardee writer Nabaneeta Dev Sen has passed away.
• Nabaneeta Dev Sen was an Indian poet, novelist and academic.
• The Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of Letters, is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of literature in the languages of India. Founded on 12 March 1954, it is supported by, though independent of, the Indian government. It is in RabindraBhavan near Mandi House in Delhi.

2. Additional charge of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises

• Prakash Javadekar has been given the additional charge of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
• Prakash KeshavJavadekar is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and currently serving as the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

3. Book ‘Accidental Magic’

• Keshava Guha has penned his debut novel ‘Accidental Magic’ which is a story of four very different people whose lives are brought together by Harry Potter.
• Keshava Guha is the son of historian Ramachandra Guha.
• Ramachandra Guha is an Indian historian whose research interests include environmental, social, economics political, contemporary and cricket history. He is also a columnist for The Telegraph, Hindustan Times and Hindi Daily Newspaper Amar Ujala.

4. Dal Lake as a Eco-Sensitive Zone

• Jammu and Kashmir Government has set up a 10-member committee to declare Dal Lake of Srinagar as an eco-sensitive zone.
• Dal is a lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The urban lake, which is the second largest in the union territory, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is named the ” Lake of Flowers”, “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir” or “Srinagar’s Jewel”.

5. Spider species named after Sachin Tendulkar

• Gujarat Ecological Education & Research (GEER) Foundation has named newly discovered spider species after Sachin Tendulkar.
• The other spider species is named after Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, who played a key role in creating awareness on education in Kerala.

1. George Schaller Lifetime Award

• Wildlife biologist K. UllasKaranth was awarded the George Schaller Lifetime Award.
• He was awarded in Wildlife Conservation Science for his contribution to the field of conservation.
• Biologist K UllasKaranth is the Director of Centre for Wildlife Studies, Bengaluru.
• George Beals Schaller (born 1933) is a German-born American mammalogist, biologist, conservationist and author. Schaller is recognized by many as the world’s preeminent field biologist, studying wildlife throughout Africa, Asia and South America.

2. BIMSTEC Conclave

• BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal initiative multi-sector technical and economic cooperation) Conclave was held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
• The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation is an international organisation of seven nations of South Asia and South East Asia, housing 1.5 billion people and having a combined gross domestic product of $3.5 trillion.

3. World Kindness Day

• World Kindness Day is an international observance on 13 November. It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations’ kindness NGOs.

4. First electric airplane of NASA

• NASA has launched its 1st all-electric experimental aircraft named X-57 ‘Maxwell’.
• The aircraft is expected to be operational by late 2020.
• The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is an independent agency of the United States Federal Government responsible for the civilian space program, as well as aeronautics and aerospace research. NASA was established in 1958, succeeding the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics.

1. Fine on Oxigen Wallet

• RBI has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on prepaid payment instrument Oxigen Services.
• Oxigen Services India is a FinTech company, is one of the major payment solutions providers in India. It is involved in micropayment of services and remittances in real time.

• Prepaid payment instruments are those which facilitate purchase of goods and services against the value stored on such instruments. Value stored on them is paid by the holder using a medium (cash, debit card, credit card etc).

2. Household Income limits for borrowers of NBFCs and MFIs

• RBI has increased the household income limits for borrowers of NBFCs and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) from 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh rupees in rural areas.
• Similarly, the limit has been increased from 1.6 lakh for urban or semi-urban areas to 2 lakh rupees.
• Microfinance is a category of financial services targeted at individuals and small businesses who lack access to conventional banking and related services. Microfinance includes microcredit, the provision of small loans to poor clients; savings and checking accounts; micro insurance; and payment systems.
• A non-banking financial institution or non-bank financial company is a financial institution that does not have a full banking license or is not supervised by a national or international banking regulatory agency.

3. RCEP Trade Agreement

• India has opted out of the RCEP Trade Agreement.
• The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership is a proposed free trade agreement in the Asia-Pacific region between the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and their five FTA partners.
• RCEP would make it easier for products and services of the signatory countries to be available across the region.

4. Medical Device Parks

• Government of India has given approval for setting up four medical device parks which will provide world-class products at an affordable price for treatment.
• The four parks will be set up in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

1. Head Coach of the Indian Women’s U-17 team

• Thomas Dennerby of Sweden has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian Women’s U-17 team for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2020.
• The 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will be the 7th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, will be held in India.
• It is the biennial international women’s youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 2008.

2. David Villa retires

• Former Barcelona and Valencia footballer David Villa has announced his retirement at his last playing club Vissel Kobe FC.
• David Villa is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Japanese club Vissel Kobe and the Spain national team.
• Villa is regarded by pundits as one of the best forwards of his generation, and one of the best Spanish strikers of all time.

3. 2019–20 I-League

• 2019–20 I-League will start from 30th November with a opening match between Aizawl FC and Mohun Bagan.
• The 2019–20 I-League will be the 13th season of the I-League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues, since its establishment in 2007.
• It is also known as Hero I League due to the sponsorship deal with Hero Motor India. A total of 11 teams will compete in the league.
• Chennai City are the defending champions, having won the previous season.
