1. Agriculture Development Scheme in Chhattisgarh Under RAFTAAR

  • An Agriculture Development Scheme has started in Chhattisgarh under RAFTAAR Scheme.
  • RAFTAAR : Remunerative Approaches For Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation.
  • Aim: To make farming a remunerative economic activity by strengthening efforts of farmers, risk mitigation and promoting agri-business entrepreneurship among them.

2. National General Secretary of BJP

  • Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed BL Santosh as its National General Secretary.
  • The Bharatiya Janata Party is one of the two major political parties in India, along with the Indian National Congress. As of 2018, it is the country’s largest political party in terms of representation in the national parliament and state assemblies, and it is the world’s largest party in terms of primary membership.

1. Gandhi-Mandela Peace Initiative

  • India and South Africa will host Gandhi-Mandela Peace Initiative at the Imperial, New Delhi.
  • Nelson Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

2. SAARC film festival

  • Bengali film ‘Nagarkirtan’ has won 4 Awards (‘Best Feature Film’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Original Score’) at SAARC film festival 2019.
  • Nagarkirtan is a 2019 Indian Bengali film written and directed by Kaushik Ganguly. The film stars Riddhi Sen as Parimal, a trans woman from rural Bengal, and Ritwick Chakraborty as Madhu, a flute player from the Kirtaniya town of Nabadwip.

3. Fernando J Corbato passes away

  • Fernando José “Corby” Corbató was a prominent American computer scientist, notable as a pioneer in the development of time-sharing operating systems.
  • He was credited with inventing the computer password.

  • L&T’s Finance arm has got $100m from AIIB for green energy funding
  • Larsen & Toubro Limited, commonly known as L&T Limited is an Indian multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was founded by two Danish engineers taking refuge in India.

3. Startup Made In Space

  • NASA has awarded an over $73-million contract to Silicon Valley-based startup ‘Made In Space’.
  • Made In Space is the space-based manufacturing company which specialize in leveraging the unique properties of the space environment to develop solutions to commercial, industrial, research and defense challenges.
