1. Book ‘ChanakyaNiti: Verses on Life and Living’
- Book ‘ChanakyaNiti: Verses on Life and Living’ is translated from the original Sanskrit by long-time career diplomat A N D Haksar.
- Aditya Narayan Dhairyasheel Haksar is a well-known translator of Sanskrit classics into English. Born in Gwalior, central India, he is a graduate of The Doon School, Allahabad University and Oxford University.
- Chanakya was an ancient Indian teacher, philosopher, economist, jurist and royal advisor. He is traditionally identified as Kauṭilya or Vishnugupta, who authored the ancient Indian political treatise, the Arthashastra, a text dated to roughly between the 2nd century BCE and the 3rd century CE.
2. Soil Health Card Day
- The Soil Health Card Day is observed on 19th of February.
- PM Modi had launched the Soil Health Card (SHC) Scheme on 19th February 2015 at Suratgarh in Rajasthan.
- Under the scheme, the government plans to issue soil cards to farmers which will carry crop-wise recommendations of nutrients and fertilisers required for the individual farms to help farmers to improve productivity through judicious use of inputs.
- All soil samples are to be tested in various soil testing labs across the country. Thereafter the experts will analyse the strength and weaknesses (micro-nutrients deficiency) of the soil and suggest measures to deal with it. The result and suggestion will be displayed in the cards.
3. Performance Regulation Act for Power Department
- Uttar Pradesh has become first state to enforce Performance Regulation Act for Power Department.

4. Peninsula Command
- Chief of Defence Staff General BipinRawat has mentioned that there are plans to create a Peninsula Command with Eastern Naval Command and Western Naval Command under it.
- General BipinRawat is a four star general and the current Chief of Defence Staff of India. On 30 December 2019, he was appointed as the first Chief of Defence Staff of India and assumed office from 1 January 2020.

- ISRO will launch 10 Earth Observation Satellites in 2020-21.
- It will include categories such as the first Geo Imaging Satellite, GISAT-1 along with communication satellites and navigation satellites.

- Asian Wrestling Championship will begin at the KD Jadhav Hall of Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.
