1. Tilhan Mission
- Government of India will launch Tilhan Mission to make the country self-reliant in oilseed production.
- India is the fourth largest vegetable oil economy in the world after the USA, China and Brazil.
- Total Oilseeds production in the country during 2019-20 is estimated at 34.19 million tonnes which is higher by 2.67 million tonnes than the production of 31.52 million tonnes during 2018-19.
2. President of Ram Mandir Trust
- Mahant Nritya Gopal Das has been elected as the president of the Ram JanmabhoomiTeerthaKshetra Trust.
- New Delhi hosted the first meeting of the Ram Mandir Trust to oversee the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
3. INS Kavaratti
- Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) has delivered the 4th Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvette INS Kavaratti.
- The first three ships of the series, INS Kamorta, INS Kadmatt & INS Kiltan.
- Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, abbreviated as GRSE, is one of India’s leading shipyards, located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It builds and repairs commercial and naval vessels. Presently GRSE has also started building export ships in a mission to expand its business.

1. Bezos Earth Fund
- ‘Bezos Earth Fund’ has been launched by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to combat climate change.
- Aim: To contribute $10 billion through the fund.
2. Worldwide Education for the Future Index 2019
- India has been ranked 35th on the overall index in 2019 with a total score of 53 in Worldwide Education for the Future Index 2019.
- India ranked 40th with an overall score of 41.2 across categories in 2018.

1. New Central Vigilance Commissioner
- The Secretary to the President Sanjay Kothari has been selected as the new Central Vigilance Commissioner.
- Central Vigilance Commission is an apex Indian governmental body created in 1964 to address governmental corruption. In 2003, the Parliament enacted a law conferring statutory status on the CVC.
2. New Chief Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission
- Former Information and Broadcasting Secretary Bimal Julka has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission.
- Central Vigilance Commission is an apex Indian governmental body created in 1964 to address governmental corruption. In 2003, the Parliament enacted a law conferring statutory status on the CVC.
3. New PFRDA Chairman
- Supratim Bandyopadhyay has been appointed as chairman of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).
- The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, a statutory body, is the pension regulator of India which was established by Government of India on 23 August 2003 and is under the administrative control of Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.

1. Mickey Wright passes away
- Mary Kathryn “Mickey” Wright was an American professional Golfer who played on the LPGA Tour.
- She became a member of the tour in 1955 and won 82 LPGA Tour career events including 13 major championships. She was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
2. Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2021
- India will host the Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2021.
- It is as per the announcement made by International Hockey Federation (FIH) at Lausanne in Switzerland.
- The Fédération Internationale de Hockey, commonly known by the acronym FIH, is the international governing body of field hockey and indoor field hockey. Its headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland and the president is Narinder Batra.
