1. Book ‘The Game Changers: Transforming India’

• Book ‘The Game changers: Transforming India’ is authored by Vir Sanghvi.
• TheGame Changers explores this change, and the people who have wrought it. • Vir Sanghvi is probably the best-known Indian journalist of his generation. He became editor of Bombay magazine at twenty-two, making him the youngest editor in the history of Indian journalism. He went on to edit Imprint and Sunday, then India’s largest-selling weekly newsmagazine. From 1999 to 2004, he was Editor of the Hindustan Times before being promoted to Editorial Director, a post he held till 2007, after which he continued at the paper as a columnist and advisor. His television career has included several award-winning shows on the Star TV Network, NDTV and CNN TV 18. He has a parallel career as India’s leading food and travel writer. 2. National Institute of Sowa Rigpa

• Government of India has approved the establishment of the National Institute for Sowa-Rigpa in Leh, Ladakh.
• It is with the mandate to undertake interdisciplinary education and research programmes in Sowa-Rigpa
• “Sowa-Rigpa” commonly known as Amchi system of medicine is one of the oldest, Living and well documented medical tradition of the world. It has been popularly practice in Tibet, Magnolia, Bhutan, some parts of China, Nepal, Himalayan regions of India and few parts of former Soviet Union etc.

3. Arundhati scheme

• Assam Government has approved Arundhati scheme to provide 1 Tola Gold to Brides free of cost.
• For economically weaker section of the society whose annual income is below Rs 5 lakh irrespective of caste, creed, religion etc.

4. Indian Army’s first female JAG officer

1. Italian Golden Sand Art Award 2019

• Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has received the Italian Golden Sand Art Award 2019.

1. Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2019

• The 12th edition of Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2019 was held in Lucknow.
• Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been awarded with ‘Green Metro project – An Initiative for Sustainable and Viable Urban Transport’ at the 12th edition of Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2019.

2. ‘Tap Water Quality’ study in India

• The ‘Tap Water Quality’ study was conducted as per directions of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution to check the quality of piped drinking water being supplied in the country in keeping with the objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
• Mumbai has topped the ranking for tap water quality while Delhi is at the bottom, with 11 out of 11 samples failing on 19 parameters.

3. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with Health ministry

• Ministry of health and family welfare has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to focus on innovation, best practices and enhancing performance management.
• The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, previously the William H. Gates Foundation, is an American private foundation founded by Bill and Melinda Gates. Based in Seattle, Washington, it was launched in 2000 and is reported to be the largest private foundation in the world, holding $50.7 billion in assets.
