1. Sangita Kalanidhi award
- Vocalist S Sowmya has been awarded Sangita Kalanidhi award of the Madras Music Academy.
- Sangita Kalanidhi is the title awarded yearly to a Carnatic Musician by the Madras Music Academy .

3. Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre
- Ministry of Home Affairs has rolled out a scheme ‘Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre’ for period 2018-2020.
- Aim: To combat cybercrime in a coordinated and effective manner.
- It has launched Cybercrime Reporting Portal which enables citizens to report online content pertaining to Child Pornography/ Child Sexual Abuse/ Rape/Gang Rape etc.
- The Ministry of Home Affairs or Home Ministry is a ministry of the Government of India. As the interior ministry of India, it is mainly responsible for the maintenance of internal security and domestic policy. The Home Ministry is headed by Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.
4. India’s first Space Tech Park
- Kerala Government will set-up India’s first Space Tech Park at Thiruvananthapuram’s Knowledge City.
- Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) is the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s distinguished by its British colonial architecture and many art galleries.

2. Reebok’s Brand Ambassador

4. New Head of Inland Waterways Authority
- Amita Prasad has been entrusted with the charges of Inland Waterways Authority of India.
- Inland Waterways Authority of India is an arm of Ministry of Shipping.
- India has an extensive network of inland waterways in the form of rivers, canals, backwaters and creeks. The total navigable length is 14,500 km, out of which about 5200 km of the river and 4000 km of canals can be used by mechanised crafts.

- Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and politician, currently serving as a senator of the Philippines.
2. India’s Asian Games 2018 silver in 4×400 Mixed Relay to be upgraded to Gold
- Kemi Adekoya of Bahrain was imposed a 4-year ban by the Athletics Integrity Unit for failing a dope test.
- This thus making India’s Asian Games 2018 silver in 4×400 mixed relay to Gold Medal.
- The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta–Palembang 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
- India won 15 Gold Medals, 24 Silver Medals and 30 Bronze Medals.
