1. Startup India Yatra in Chhattisgarh

• Start-up India Yatra van is equipped with facilities for individuals and start-ups to pitch their ideas.
• The boot camps will include presentations on Start-up India and Chhattisgarh Start-up Policy followed by extensive ideation workshops.
• Aspiring entrepreneurs will have to register at www.startupindiahub.org.in to participate in the Yatra.

• The Walled City of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India” is the next proposed site for UNESCO World Heritage recognition.
• There are a total of 37 World Heritage sites in India at Present.

3. First Cow Sanctuary in Rajasthan

• Rajasthan Government signed a MoU with a private trust Sohanlalji Buladeviji Ojha Gaushala Samiti to build first Cow Sanctuary in Rajasthan.
• This will be situated in Bikaner’s Napasar.

4. 1st Metro system in the World to go Completely Green

• Delhi Metro became the 1st Metro system in the World to go Completely Green.
• Delhi Metro has also secured the platinum rating for adherence to green building norms from the Indian Green Building Council.

1. Seema Nanda has been appointed as CEO of Democratic National Committee

• Seema Nanda was appointed as CEO of Democratic National Committee(Opposition Party).
• She is the first Indo-American to be the CEO of either the Democratic or the Republicans.

2. World Day against Trafficking in Persons

• World Day against Trafficking in Persons was observed across the world by the United Nations on 30 July.

• Third BRICS Film Festival was concluded in Durban, South Africa.
• Indian films won 3rd BRICS Film Festival awards.

1. SBI hikes Fixed Deposit interest rates

• FDs below ₹1 crore for 1 year to 2 years will now provide 6.70% interest as against 6.65% earlier while senior citizens will get 7.2%.
• For deposits from 2 years to 3 years, the interest rate has been revised to 6.75% from 6.65%.

2. Indian Army with Ashok Leyland

• Ashok Leyland to deliver 81 high mobility 10×10 vehicles to Indian Army.
• This is the first time an Indian vehicle manufacturer will deliver heavy duty, high mobility vehicles for the launchers in army.

3. HSBC India’s New CEO

• HSBC appointed Surendra Rosha as the CEO for HSBC India.
• HSBC Bank plc is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. HSBC’s international network comprises around 7,500 offices in over 80 countries.

1. 1st Asian Teenage to Swim UK-France Channel

• Prabhat Koli became the first Asian Teenage to Swim UK-France Channel.
• He covered 25km in 6 hours and 54 minutes.

2. Gold at the Savo Games

• Neeraj Chopra won gold at the Savo Games in Finland .
• He is the 1st Indian to win gold in javelin throw at Commonwealth Games 2018.
