Aghast -that was the expression on my face on seeing the question paper. It was that part of the year again-the final examinations. And again i was in a helpless state, as usual. Attempting the questions seemed to be the most grueling task, more gruelling than listening to a Justin Beiber song.
11 am- the clock ticked away, just one hour left. Someone had written some great lines beneath the clock-time will pass, but will you? The statement left me even more depressed. The situation was too overbearing for me. I sat there looking with imploring eyes at the invigilator. Having attempted all the questions that i could, i looked at the question paper once again hoping for some magic to happen. I sat there praying. And it happened-a melee just broke out between two seniors just outside our room. The invigilator rushed outside and it was the moment!
I jumped onto the seat where the guy considered to have the highest intellect in our class was sitting ,snatched his answer sheet and set off copying whatever i could at the greatest speed ignoring the troubled and disgusted look on his face.
The teacher outside stood petrified at the sight of the dangerously fighting students. But it all ended soon with the intervention of the vice-principal within a span of ten minutes. Needless to say, those were the best ten minutes out of the three hours. I was sure that now I would pass at-least .Half an hour later I left the hall with a smile on my face and just one thought in my mind-“Thank you God”, with your grace I successfully managed to avert another man-made disaster.
